We collect the minimum amount of information about you that is commensurate with providing you with a satisfactory service. The Wild Kid Books website is certified with SSL. We may also record how you heard about us e.g. Google or Word of Mouth etc. If you found us via a Search Engine such as Google, we may record what keywords you used. We will record the date that you first contacted us, whether it was a phone call, email or website form and therefore marking the date your information first entered into our database. Other information such as data about your use of the website or information that may be needed from time to time to process a specific request, may also be collected as indicated on the website.


SQUARE

When collecting data specifically for making a payment, transactions are easy, safe and secure with “Square”, our trusted partner for processing all types payments such as, cash or card payment as well as Apple and Google Pay. From the time a customer uses a credit/debit card or enters their information into Square’s payment system, such as the card reader or via electronic invoicing, payment data is encrypted until it reaches Square’s processing environment. INFORMATION USE

We use the information collected primarily to process the task for which you visited the website e.g. submit a comment on our blog, request a quote (via phone, email or website form), or to purchase our products. Data collected in the UK is held in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR). All reasonable precautions are taken to prevent unauthorised access to this information, which is stored within a software that is password protected and secure with SSL encryption. In addition to using Square for transactions (see above), we also use Google and it's suite of software such as Google Sites; to publish our website, Google Drive; to store data such as hosting our website and it's content, Google Forms; to capture information from our contact form, Gmail; to receive Google Form notifications and communicate with the customer. Any data that is collected is private and not shared with any third party and stored securely within our secure 2-factor verification Google account. Encryption is an important piece of the Google security strategy, helping to protect all our customer data.


DISCLOSING INFORMATION

We do not disclose any personal information obtained about you from this website to third parties except when we need to do so in order to complete the transaction – e.g. when arranging for a courier company to deliver goods that you have ordered. We may also use the information to keep in contact with you about educational and promotional information associated with our business. You will be given the opportunity to remove yourself from any mailing list or similar device. If at any time in the future we should wish to disclose information collected on this website to any third party, it would only be with your knowledge and consent.


Data shall be kept for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it is being processed. For example, customer and prospect data; we will keep our customer data until such time the customer requests to be removed from our database or no longer wishes to use our services. Any customer or prospect data stored in our databases that does not have an on-going purpose e.g. customer relations, or opt-in to marketing communications, shall be removed from our databases permanently; data is deleted from the application(s) where data is stored.
